This truck is a 1/30th scale (almost 7 inches long!) metal die
cast replica of a 1946 Dodge Power Wagon, and has been painted
in holiday colors. Features fold down rear tailgate, detailed
230 cubic inch flat head 6 cylinder engine under the hood, real
rubber tires with military NON-directional treads, full interior
cab and undercarriage details including the optional rear PTO.
The three pine trees in the back are bound with twine and the
wreaths are crowned with red ribbons. There's an axe and boxes
in the back as well, a wreath on the front grille and a gas can
on the running board. No expense has been spared on this “Tonka
Collectibles" as it even has green wheels with chrome-finished
rims and an operational tailgate. This is truly a unique, remarkable
premiere edition collectible, produced and distributed in October/November
2000.
Each one is numbered and comes with a "Certificate
of Authenticity"
- First Gear delivered this truck to the producer in
October/November 2000.
- Hasbro/Tonka was the Producer for this truck.
- This truck was produced as serial-numbered, “limited
edition” collectible, with many unique features, accents,
and outstanding graphics.
- The release of this truck was not announced by First
Gear, and the release was not published in their monthly newsletter
“Treadmarks”, so it is not widely known and is very
seldom seen or found.
- So scarce / unknown, this truck has not been added
to the current issue of Heuser’s
Quarterly Price Guide, although it was released over a year
ago!
- According to Hasbro/Tonka they have no current stock,
and ALL of these collectibles were distributed to their
retailers, LAST YEAR!
